Oaxaca Christian School is a member school of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
A brief history of OCS:
OCS started in 1974 as a small school with seven students for families who were serving in the Oaxaca region. For many years it remained as a “one room schoolhouse” until the early 1990’s when it began to add grades and become more established as a school.. The first OCS graduating class was in 1996. Since then it has continued to develop and add to its community. The school has maintained its purpose of partnering with parents in order to provide a quality American-style education for the children from the families that minister and serve here among the Oaxacan people.
Open to Students
Oaxaca Christian School is open to students who have an ability to speak, read and write academic English and have plans to study abroad for university level. Students must be eligible for a non-Mexican passport or possess a visa that will allow them to live and study elsewhere.
OCS is not a school for students who desire to continue their studies in Mexico. Because we are not affiliated with the SEP, we do not provide documentation for further studies in Mexico. Please keep this in mind when considering enrollment at OCS.
fundamental statements of ocs
accordingly, our doctrinal statement is:
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, the only infallible authoritative Word of God.
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ
His virgin birth
His sinless life
His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood
His bodily resurrection
His ascension to the right hand of the Father
His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, the judgment of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Statement on Gender, Marriage and Sexuality:
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as a biological man or woman. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture.
We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other, and that God forbids sexual activity outside of marriage.
